Application Requirements for the Nuclear Medicine Residency Program

TBA

Eligibility

The UBC Nuclear Medicine does not currently participate in the CaRMS match. Applicants should be enrolled in a Royal College accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program or have successfully completed a Royal College accredited Diagnostic Radiology.

Applicants who have completed Diagnostic Radiology residency outside of Canada are still eligible to apply if they have successfully completed their Royal College exam in Diagnostic Radiology and are eligible to practice Diagnostic Radiology in Canada. In specific situations, individuals who do not meet this criteria may still be eligible to apply but this is determined on a case-by-case basis by our Selection Committee and applicants should email the Program Directors. Our program also offers a Observership experience for international residents.

Selection Criteria

Applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. The Selection Committee, which is composed of members of the Residency Program Committee (RPC), will consider all aspects of the applicants’ file when making a decision. Members of the Selection Committee have completed training in hiring equity and are committed to recruiting excellent residents, through a fair and equitable process.
