We are dedicated to sparking action in the field of radiology, by raising awareness and informing healthcare leaders about the profound effects of climate change, air pollution and biodiversity loss on local and global human health.
Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns, caused by increased atmospheric greenhouse gases due to burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and gas). Air Pollution is the largest cause of disease and premature death in the world, with more than seven million people dying prematurely each year due to pollution. Biodiversity loss refers to the decline or disappearance of biological diversity including animals, plants and ecosystems due to human activities.
