Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Site(s): Vancouver General Hospital & UBC Hospital

The UBC Comprehensive MRI Fellowship is a one year position.  The fellowship covers neuro, MSK, body, female pelvis, and MRA applications, with an emphasis on sports medicine. Research and teaching form an important part of the fellowship, as there is a resident on the service at all times, and we have close collaboration with academic neurologists and sports medicine physicians. The current system is a state-of-the-art GE 1.5T 16 track system equipped with advanced software applications such as TRICKS (MRA), LAVA (abdominal MR software with parallel imaging), propeller, diffusion imaging including diffusion tensor, etc. A Philips whole-body 3.0T research system is sited next door. MR spectroscopy and MRI applications are run regularly.

Applicants must have a medical degree and specialty diploma (Radiology) or will be completing an accredited residency program in diagnostic radiology to be eligible for licensure in Canada.
